WTF did she just say?

What's behind door number 8?

Sandra Priestley Season 2 Episode 163

One of the things that I am working on prioritizing is SLEEP.  Us menopausal women need to really pay attention especially, but all of us likely sleep like shit more often than we care to admit.

In this episode, I give you a few tips on how you can get a better nights sleep ... with feng shui ... and a few of my other fave tips too.

Need a last minute gift idea?

SPEAKER_00:

Welcome back to another episode of What the Fuck Did She Just Say? Today is day eight. And I want to talk about how you sleep through the holidays. You know, we need to recharge. And a lot of times we stay up a little bit later, we wake up a little bit earlier because we just have better more things to do, more things to think about, to be honest. And also we're in everyone else's fucking energy throughout the day. So it's a little bit more difficult to sort of settle down. We might have, we might be eating things we don't normally eat. For me, if I have sugar, ugh, I sleep like shit. But also we're around other people. So we're picking up those energies. And I think it's really important to get that regenerative sleep. So here's a couple of things that I think are really, really important. The first one, clear off your nightstand. I'm telling you, if you can clear, well, and declutter, like clean your room, remove all of the um remove the clothes that are hanging on your elliptical machine. Actually, move the elliptical machine right out of your bedroom if you can. But clear off your nightstand. I'm telling you, if you can clear that off, and and actually, if you have time to clear out the drawers, there is nothing that is speaking to your subconscious mind where you're asleep. And I know you're gonna tell me some of the naysayers are gonna say to me that you're close your eyes, you're not getting and nothing is speaking to your subconscious mind. I'm telling you, there's energy in the things on your there's energy in your space. Everything holds energy. So if you have um something like if you have a number of things on your nightstand, you absolutely will feel that energy. The other thing that I really have been leaning toward is taking my phone and placing it in my ensuite. I I turn up the volume. So if someone calls me in the middle of the night, I can still hear. But when I keep my phone in my ensuite, I'm telling you, I sleep so much better. It's not great that we fall asleep to our phones and we have them sort of just emanating that radiation right in your head. So those are two things that I think are really important. One thing is just logistical, clear off your nightstand. And if you're looking for a gift, and if you're looking to buy a gift for someone, I have my daughter showed me, and if you're looking find to find a gift for someone, my daughter showed me, I'll maybe link it in the show notes, but my daughter showed me this hatch alarm clock, and it works with your circadian rhythm. It sort of slowly it works with your circadian rhythm. It slowly rise, it allows you to rise by slowly by mimicking sunrise and sunset, and it also has white noise to it, I believe. But I think that's an amazing gift idea if you're looking for another one. And also, how awesome to be able to just beautifully fall asleep and then beautifully wake up in the morning. Like, oh, your life will change. I swear it. See you back here tomorrow for day nine.
