SPEAKER_00:

I'm so glad that you're here. You're listening to What the Fuck Did She Just Say? With your host. That's me, Stephanie Place Table. I'm all about living our best life and finding our zone of brilliance and then removing the resistance so that we can go all in. I say random crazy shift, which is why I called this podcast the way that I did. And I really hate long, drawn-out intros. So let's fucking go. Welcome back to another episode of the podcast. Today is day seven, and today I want to talk about the shoulds. When we say to ourselves, I should do more Christmas baking, I should make this jellied salad, I should have turkey, even though I don't want to. And every single time we say yes when we want to say no, or we do something that we think we should do, it kind of pulls at our joy. It kind of makes us feel like a little bit more heavy. And so this year, I want you to think about decluttering your shoulds. I want you to think in terms of what am I saying yes to that I don't really want to do, and what am I saying no to that I do really want to do? Maybe you want to do something completely different this Christmas. I promise you, if you decide you don't want to do turkey and stuffing and potatoes, it's still gonna be amazing. A friend of mine, she does a theme every single year, and this year her theme is Greek. So on Christmas Day, they're not having turkey, they'll have like a big, huge Greek meal. How amazing. If she wants to have turkey on December 29th, she can. But they're having this big, beautiful Greek meal. A few years ago, I think it was they did a huge traditional Mexican meal. I mean, what a fun thing to do. There was a few years where every Christmas Eve we sort of did a Ukrainian meatless meal, and that was really fun. And then we decided the the next year that we were going to do fondues. And so we started doing fondues on Christmas Eve. More recently, we started doing appetizers on Christmas Eve. That's my personal favorite. But the thing that I want you to say is like it's okay to let go of the things that you think you should do in order to choose the things you want to do. I promise when you do that, it's just going to make it a little bit different, a little bit more special, and maybe it's gonna be your up-leveled self find a bit of joy and find a little bit of uniqueness in this Christmas. And if what you really, really, really love is all of the traditions that you hold, then do that. But don't do them because you feel like you have to or you should. Should energy is crappy energy, and we're not having that here for Christmas. All right, we'll see you back here for day eight. Thank you so much for listening. I hope you've had some laughs, maybe some ideas, and that you've been inspired to take some type of action toward the life you've always dreamed of. If you feel so called, I would love it if you would share with your besties. Leave a review down below. I look forward to bringing you along with, and I will see you in the next episode.
