WTF did she just say?

[FENG SHUI FRIDAY] Company's Coming!!!

Season 2 Episode 152

Uhmmm did you notice that this audio is 5 min and 55 seconds???  555 means CHANGE!  I love it!!!

On this week's Feng Shui Friday ... we're talking about clutter.

We clean our house like company’s coming... but forget to treat ourselves with that same level of care.

Clutter is stuck energy. It’s not just mess — it’s a message.

Your home tells a story about how you treat yourself.

So today, I’m sharing how you can start clearing your space (and your energy) in a way that feels simple, supportive, and aligned.

Because YOU are company. And you deserve to live like it.

** p.s. I'll see you back here on WEEKDAYS from now on.  So whether you listen every day while you're on your coffee break at work, or you binge on the weekends to catch up, I've got you.

Speaker 1:

Hey girl, welcome back to the podcast. I want you to imagine for a second that you get a text from a great friend. You haven't seen her in a while. She sends you a text and says hey, I'm in town and I'm coming for coffee. Are you home? I'll be there in five minutes.

Speaker 1:

Now, for, as excited as you are, you take a look around and shit your fucking pants because your house is a disaster. It looks like a tornado went through it. Now what Is your friend going to come over and judge you? Hopefully not, if she is. You need better friends, but at the same time, you want to show her respect. You want her to be able to come into your house and feel comfortable and feel relaxed, and if you're not relaxed in your cluttered house, your company is not going to be relaxed in your cluttered house either. So what do we do? We see the text. We've got four minutes and 30 seconds left. See the text we've got four minutes and 30 seconds left.

Speaker 1:

So we do everything that we can to prepare for the decluttering Olympics and we manage in five minutes to do such a bang up job that by the time she comes in, you look around and you think, wow, this house doesn't look half bad. Think, wow, this house doesn't look half bad. The pillows were somehow fluffed, you had lit the candles and it just. It felt so amazing. Here's the thing, though when we don't have company coming, a lot of times, when it's just us, we let ourselves live in the leftovers, and it's the same with your desk or your office. You'll tidy up at the end of the day. So the future you walks in tomorrow feeling calm and focused and ready to rock, but then, somehow, we go home and we live in piles of laundry and cluttered kitchen counters, and then we wonder why we're productive at work, but when we're at home, we feel exhausted, overwhelmed, scattered, pissed off.

Speaker 1:

In feng shui, clutter is stuck, energy. Every single thing is sending a message to your subconscious brain. So imagine if you had like 47 tasks to do in your home. You had nail clippers on the coffee table that needed to go away, you had dishes that needed to be done, you had a bill that needed to be paid. You had closet doors that were open. In the entrance, you had shoes all.

Speaker 1:

Do you see where I'm going with this? Every single thing that is not in its place, every single task that is undone, is speaking to your subconscious mind. It's like having 47 open tabs on your computer and you're trying to flip between all of them. There's no wonder you can't focus, no wonder that you're drained. Your space is talking to you and it's saying what the fuck? Clear this shit out so I can breathe, and then so can you.

Speaker 1:

So I thought about this the other day. What if we changed the way we thought about our space? And what if, at the end of the day, we took five minutes? We set that time aside as important for our future selves? Because if we want to manifest next level you, we have to elevate who we are now.

Speaker 1:

So think about your home. Think about what it is that when you wake up in the morning, you get exhausted by Maybe it's. You get up in the morning and you go into your en suite and there's stuff all over your counter. Can you spend five minutes at the end of the day? Clean that up, so that when you wake up in the morning and you go into your en suite, it's beautiful, the towels are fluffy and folded and it just feels amazing like your next level self is getting up, refreshed and ready to go. Can you spend 15 minutes at the end of the day, maybe making sure that your kitchen is clean.

Speaker 1:

What would you change if you treated yourself like company, if you gave yourself that same respect, that same care, not because someone's coming over, but because you live here and you are worth it. Your home tells a story about how you treat yourself, how you care for your energy, and your home can either take energy away from you or give you extra energy. So today, go pick one spot, a corner of your house, clear it out, not because company is coming, but because you are. Treat yourself like company, like someone you care about is walking through that door. Because she is, it's you. Now go have an amazing day.

Speaker 1:

And if you're wanting to hear a little bit more about feng shui, every single month in the Powerhouse membership, I talk all things feng shui. It's about elevating your space, elevating yourself, really elevating your mindset and your energy, and stepping into that powerhouse that I know you are. The price is going up in 2025. So I hope you get your cute little tush in there. It is so much fun, we do so many amazing things and the women in the group are just fabulous. I hope you have a great day and I'll see you back here tomorrow.
