I'm all about living our best life and finding our zone of brilliance and then removing the resistance so that we can go all in. I say random, crazy shit, which is why I called this podcast the way that I did, and I really hate long drawn out intros. So let's fucking go.
Speaker 2:Welcome back to another episode of what the fuck did she just say? Today I want to talk about goals and the one thing that is absolutely essential in order for you to achieve any fucking goal that you want. It is not really that exciting, but it is absolutely essential it's certainty. If you set yourself a goal and you don't have certainty you set yourself a goal but you don't believe that you can achieve it You're going to self-sabotage right off the bat. You might do one, two, three days, you might even push yourself to a week or two weeks, but you're going to be half-heartedly in it and you will end up self-sabotaging like crazy.
Speaker 2:Our mindset plays a massive role in our success, and so when we're certain about something, whether you know, if I look back, I have been able to achieve crazy cool goals in a very short period of time, and the reason was because either I was certain or I was trusting someone else that held enough certainty for both of us and I just did what they told me to do and it fucking worked. That was the difference In all of those situations I either held my own certainty or I relied on someone else's, and, with unshakable faith, I took action every single day, when we're certain, when we're deep down certain that we can reach our goals, we then start to align our actions, our thoughts, our energy towards making it happen. It's like flipping a switch, it's like announcing to the universe I'm fucking ready for this, let's go. But here's the kicker Certainty just doesn't show up. Because you've wished upon a fucking star. It's something that we create and it's something that we constantly have to work on, even if all it is is you starting off every single day, anytime you have this tiny little bit of self-doubt, you say everything is working out for me, this is going to work. I know it's going to work. I trust that it will work. I have faith that this is working, it is all working out, it is all happening.
Speaker 2:I don't care if all you do is repeat it over and over and over again and say those affirmations until you reprogram your subconscious mind, preferably, if you can do those right early in the morning and right before you go to bed. That's when your subconscious mind is the most active and your conscious mind, which is the one that is the naysayer, that's the one that's more negative, that's the one that's sort of gone to sleep or still sleeping in the morning. So if you can sort of do those affirmations right before you go to bed and right when you wake up in the morning, it's the best time to reprogram. But guess what, any time you start, you catch yourself with a negative thought. I want you to reprogram yourself. Replace it with an affirmation it's all working, it's all happening, it's going to work out, the universe has my back. I don't give a shit what you say, but have it flipped to create that certainty. Do not allow yourself to get stuck in a negative loop of crap. Catch yourself and reprogram it with a different, more certain affirmation.
Speaker 2:The other thing that I do is I do a visualization every single morning and I feel like that just primes me to think about the future, be excited about the future and be more certain of the steps that I'm going to take. It sort of helps me to take the steps, gets into the mindset of goal attainment, into the mindset of goal attainment and it helps me to take the steps that I need to right early in the morning and the more I take action early in the morning. So I get up, I do my affirmations, I read my visualization, I do my journaling, I go for my walk, all of these things. I've done the majority of my tasks that I need to do for the work by 10 o'clock in the morning, and the more you take action right in the morning, that's more certain you will be that you're going to achieve your goal. You feel less like a failure if you get up in the morning and you've done a lot of your tasks by 10, right. And the other thing is just constantly not only reprogramming yourself with positive thoughts, but just engaging with people and content and environments that uplift you and support you. Having that positive influence. It improves your confidence and it creates certainty.
Speaker 2:Of course, there's going to be days when doubt creeps in. It happens to me all the time. The key, though, is to catch yourself and reprogram yourself before you go down that rabbit hole. Acknowledge that you've had a shitty thought. Refocus on your vision. Keep moving forward. You absolutely can achieve anything you desire. I fully believe that God would not allow you to have a dream if you did not have the capacity to achieve it. So if you know that you have that dream, the only thing that's holding you back is a lack of certainty, a lack of action, a lack of certainty that you can achieve it and a lack of action towards going for it. We are not here to stay small. You've got this and I have enough certainty for the both of us. You follow this plan and you can achieve. Anything you desire and you can achieve anything you desire.
