WTF did she just say?

[FENG SHUI FRIDAY] Transform Your Space: Find Joy in Organization ✨

Sandra Priestley Season 2 Episode 127
Speaker 1:

I'm so glad that you're here. You are listening to what the fuck did she just say with your host? That's me, Sandra Priestly. I'm all about living our best life and finding our zone of brilliance and then removing the resistance so that we can go all in. I say random, crazy shit, which is why I called this podcast the way that I did, and I really hate long drawn out intros. So let's fucking go.

Speaker 1:

You know those TikToks where the person brings home a whole bunch of groceries? Know those TikToks where the person brings home a whole bunch of groceries, washes them all? They're like ASMR videos where the sound is very loud. And so they wash all the groceries and they put everything in containers and you hear them like put the eggs in the containers, like take them out of the cardboard you put. The person puts them in the fridge and the fridge looks amazing and it's beautiful and bright and shiny and the strawberries look bright, red and the vegetables look amazing and all you want to do is eat healthy. The reason that you want to dive into that container of strawberries, or that you're inspired to make it most incredible omelet, or you're inspired to take the peppers out of the fridge and all multi-colors and make the most beautiful stir fry is because everything is nice, neat, tidy, clean, bright, crisp and exciting. It looks fresh and it doesn't look overwhelming and you can see everything in the fridge and it just feels inspiring as fuck.

Speaker 1:

Ideally, we want your home to feel like that everywhere If you can, or one space if that's all you can do. There is nothing as exciting to me as cleaning out my closet and then opening up my two doors and having it look like it's a Kardashian closet, even though it's the tiniest thing. It's not even a walking closet in my house, it's just a normal closet. But when I open the doors and everything is neat and tidy and folded and hung nicely and all of the coat hangers match and they just they're all facing the same way and everything is organized and honored, I feel better, my life feels better, my life is better, and when everything is organized in my home, I feel more organized in my brain. That's the way it works.

Speaker 1:

I'm not saying you have to have a picture perfect home and I'm not saying that you have to have everything exactly perfect and have everything manicured. I'm not saying that at all. But I am saying that when you have a space that is neat and organized and the only things you have in your home are things that you love and cherish. You will cherish the things that you see. I have a crystal that I absolutely love on my coffee table and I notice it because it's one of the only things that are sitting on my coffee table. But if I had, let's say, I have a ton of food, dishes and some extra bills sitting out and a hairbrush and a whole bunch of other things that is sitting on that coffee table, I'm not going to notice my crystal. That's just the facts.

Speaker 1:

And your beautiful fridge on TikTok that has so many gorgeous containers and the eggs have their own separate spot and all of the peppers are washed and cleaned and cut and they just look so inviting. If they were behind seven half used bottles of dressing, an almost empty container of peanut butter, it doesn't have the same vibe when you open something up and it looks beautiful. When you turn around and you look at something and it feels beautiful. That space is inspiring. So for this weekend, just choose one space. Your entire home doesn't have to look like that, but just choose one space. It might be your fridge, it might be your freezer, it might be your freezer, it might be one drawer, Don't care.

Speaker 1:

Having even just one space in your home that feels so beautiful that you love so much that you open up that drawer and it just makes you smile. That is a pick-me-up. That you open up that drawer and it just makes you smile, that is a pick-me-up that you might need and it might just inspire you to take on a second drawer. If you look everywhere in your home and you smile because you love it so much, imagine how much happier you're going to be because you love it so much. Imagine how much happier you're going to be. Thank you so much for listening. I hope you've had some laughs, maybe some ideas, and that you've been inspired to take some type of action toward the life you've always dreamed of. If you feel so called, I would love it if you would share with your besties and leave a review down below. I look forward to bringing you along on this journey and I will see you in the next episode.
