WTF did she just say?

Why is our intuition stronger for others? Listen in ... [intuition part 1]✨

Sandra Priestley Season 2 Episode 124
Speaker 1:

I'm so glad that you're here. You are listening to what the fuck did she just say with your host? That's me, sandra Priestly. I'm all about living our best life and finding our zone of brilliance and then removing the resistance so that we can go all in. I say random, crazy shit, which is why I called this podcast the way that I did, and I really hate long drawn out intros, so let's fucking go.

Speaker 1:

A number of years ago, I was talking to a client and friend of mine who happens to be a psychic, and I was saying that I was finding it so damn easy to provide clarity to my clients. I found it so easy to listen to my intuition and just let everything else go. However, I was needing to find a me for me. I was so damn good at the time for everyone else, but for myself I remained stuck. I remained unsure, unclear. I had too many options going through my mind, and I see women in the entrepreneurial space doing the same thing, saying I can give anyone else advice, but I'm struggling for myself. I don't know what's wrong with me. Why does my intuition suck? And I'm telling you it's not our intuition. When that happens, it is a normal process. And what this client said to me was the reason we struggle with hearing our own intuition for ourselves and our own situations is that we're too tied to the outcome. We're tied to the answer that we're going to get. We might want it to be a yes, and so we're not going to trust if it happens to be a no. But I'll go in further. If you're talking about business, often my clients want to know the exact right step, and then they want immediate success right, and that, of course, we're tied to that outcome, even though it might not be the best outcome. There is. Immediate success sounds great, but not at the expense of exhaustion, not at the expense of burning out and then wanting to burn your business down after right.

Speaker 1:

But here's the other thing we are also tied to our excuses and our fears. If you were to come to me and say that you had this gut feeling that you needed to be on YouTube, you had this feeling that if you marketed yourself on YouTube, your business would fly, and that feels very, very true to you. You'll give me a but you'll say but that doesn't really make sense to me. I don't think I can trust that. I mean, I don't have any of the equipment. I don't have a studio, I don't have a room or an office that would be conducive to YouTube videos. I don't know what I would say. I'm nervous online. I'm not very good on iMovie. I mean you would come up with all of the excuses and that's what happens. Good on iMovie. I mean you would come up with all of the excuses and that's what happens.

Speaker 1:

We get an idea and then right away, our own brain starts to protect us. No-transcript. The more excuses we're going to come up with, our brain is going to go whoa, she's close to up-leveling. No, let's throw a whole bunch of shit in front of her so that she doesn't. We can't allow her to succeed, because what if she fails? I mean, this is what our brain does. This is absolutely what happens, and we hold ourselves back and we don't trust ourselves because we think that the intuition, our gut feeling about what we should do, comes with a whole bunch of fucking baggage. So surely it can't be right.

Speaker 1:

But when you practice and you start to lean in and you start to take that first right step, you'll see it will just unfold. Naturally it's scary as shit to take the first step, but what happens is when one door opens and you walk through it, the path that reveals itself to you opens up onto another door and you walk through that. It just all of a sudden. Naturally, you don't go from I can cook this cookie really well to I have 40 cookbooks on the shelf of the chapter's bookstore. Right, it's one right next step and you just trust it and keep going. Try not to worry about the outcome and don't listen to your bullshit excuses. Know that the more excuses you have, the more you might be on the right path.

Speaker 1:

Now there's a couple of things that I like to do in order to strengthen my own intuition. The first thing that I think that has made the biggest shift for me is called sourcing meditations. I have a number of different sourcing meditations in the vault, which is a collection of the best of the best things that I've done, and I think there's I don't know 15, 16 meditations in there that are guided for you. The other thing, of course, I'm going to tell you is journaling. One of the things that I love to do is just like journal, something like dear universe. I'm feeling stuck in my business. I need some support. What do I need to know? And just write as though the universe is speaking back to me. It's amazing, because the first couple of pages you just kind of keep going and you're leading the pen and you're not really sure what you're saying. It's just like a conversation with the universe really. And then all of a sudden some amazing shit starts to fly out. After like page three, you get into a space where you can let your conscious mind just relax and some amazing ideas can come out of that. So that's another option that I've got for you.

Speaker 1:

Um, and one of the things that I like to do is just have, if I have a couple of options in front of me, like, should I do X or Y in my business, I will just play a game with the fucking universe and say something like um, okay, universe, if I am meant to focus on my clarity calls for women, show me a blue bird within the next 30 minutes, like I will just play a game like that. Or if I am meant to focus on my 90 day challenge called the work, my phone will ring in the next hour, something like that. I mean just play and then go all in when you get the sign. It's amazing to just look for the signs right. If you want to rely on me and my intuition, I do have clarity calls.

Speaker 1:

I'm more than happy to help any woman who wants support. I'm telling you I spent so much time just offering people advice, knowing that if they take it they will fly. I've helped women create multiple millions of dollars in their businesses. I've helped people get unstuck in so many different ways, so I'm happy to do that. The offer link is in the show notes below.

Speaker 1:

And I think the biggest thing is that we can all tap into this intuitive nudge. We can all tap into this intuition. It's like knowing the exact right thing to do. We waste so much time in indecision. We waste so much time just trying to figure out what should we do and what are all the pitfalls and what like. We overthink the magic out of everything when we get a good gut feeling or some really great advice. Just move and see how the universe helps you to co-create. Thank you so much for listening. I hope you've had some laughs, maybe some ideas, and that you've been inspired to take some type of action toward the life. You've much for listening. I hope you've had some laughs, maybe some ideas, and that you've been inspired to take some type of action toward the life you've always dreamed of. If you feel so called, I would love it if you would share with your besties. Leave a review down below. I look forward to bringing you along on this journey and I will see you in the next episode.
